What I Ate Wednesday 24.12.2015

Image
Okay, I screwed up. Yesterday, I had planned out this post, got all the photos and when so ready to write it and fully catch up with my blogmas plan...and then the internet crashed. It's almost like I am destined to know fail this, but never mind, lets just trooper on and pretend that it's still Wednesday. Breakfast Breakfast was quite a dull little affair of a banana and a cup of pineapple and grapefruit green tea. Usually, I do have a more adequate breakfast, but yesterday, I just couldn't be bothered. This was then followed by snacking on some grapes and having my advent calendar chocolates. Lunch I had a slightly bigger lunch of jacketed sweet potato with left over lentil chilli. I absolutely LOVE sweet potatoes, and they are so good jacketed. As you can tell by the blurry and poorly framed photo, I also coated this with a tonne of sour cream, but that's only because I always make chilli far too spicy. Dinner  For dinner, I kinda cheated yesterday,...

Attack on Titan Review

Image
Whether you watch anime, or you avoid it like the plague, there is no way on this earth that you could not have heard of Attack on Titan but now. It’s a series that everyone rabbits on about, and focuses on the attempt of human survival when overly large, human-eating titans, all of whom have amazing butts, are breaking through protective barriers. Personally, I feel as though this series did not live up to its hype, and I even began to find it a bit dull. The ending was a bit predictable; however, there is no denying that it still had some amazing features. The first episode is a complete hook – in fact, the whole of the first part is. There are great action scenes and an amazing title sequence song, but as soon as the title sequence changed, I felt as though the program digressed. I began to feel an air of predictability about everything, and there is even one twist which I sussed instantly. To most overly intelligent people, that’s okay, but for me, I am never able to s...

A Day To Remember – What Separates Me from You.

Image
Before anyone complains, I know I failed at Blogmas…but if there’s one thing that I am good at, it’s redeeming myself. After a day and a bit of wallowing in the self-pity that comes with an upset stomach, earache and headache, I’m now back at the laptop and ready to type away like an illiterate monkey. To make up for the post that I ignored, yesterday, I will firstly be reviewing the next album on my CD rack; A Day To Remember – What Separates Me from You.  I know that I wasn’t overly complementary when it came to one of A Day to Remember’s previous albums; however, I do believe that this CD has some cracking hits on it, and definitely blows their previous records out of the water. Tracklist        1.        Sticks & Bricks        2.        All I Want        3.        It’s Complicated       ...

Weekly Recap 20.12.2015

Image
Today, we shall have a very ill edition of my Sunday recap. Monday Monday is a day that I always seem to forget, and annoyingly, I don’t seem to even have any photos to try and jog my memory. I can’t work out if I literally just slept through this day, or completely missed it, but even so, I haven’t a clue – but I do vaguely remember playing scrabble and losing to my mum. Tuesday From what I remember, Tuesday was the day I blitzed my room, ready for when my boyfriend comes home from university for Christmas break. I also used Tuesday to ice the Christmas cake, and spent the evening cuddling my dog, who is beginning to resemble my dad. Wednesday Wednesday had a crappy start as Windows decided to do an update. I wouldn’t have minded, if it wasn’t for the fact that it took twenty minutes for my laptop to actually start up. I then spent the rest of the morning editing photos from Sunday. When I went downstairs for lunch and a mince pie, for some strange reas...

Today, I'm just going to be honest with you all, and admit that I cannot be bothered to write up a post. I'm tired, sicky and emotional, and as a result, I will hopefully upload two posts tomorrow to make up for this. I just felt like I should explain why I wont be putting a post up. See you tomorrow guys, Heather

Fifty Shades Freed - Book Review

Image
The time has come, my friends. Time to move on to the third and final book of the trilogy – Fifty Shades Freed. I know that E. L. James has also released a spin-off story now, which is the events in Christian’s point of view, but I am yet to read this, and I feel like reviewing another one of her books this month would just ruin my Christmas. I would go into every nook and cranny of the parts I disliked and like, but I fear I would be writing until next year, so instead, I’ll just pick out some main points. To me, this book was the worst of the three. There was no momentum, the characters that had previously been built up were lost, especially Christian who seemingly turned into a hopeless romantic at the end of the book, and even the attempts of drama and tension seemed futile. Firstly, let’s start with the writing style and wording, both of which has declined back to the quality of the first books. I’m pretty sure everybody knows that words such as “Flesh” , “carnal” and...

Craft - Harry Potter Monopoly

Image
CRAFT FRIDAY! CRAFT FRIDAY! CRAFT FRIDAY! Hey Guys, Today’s post has gone up a little later than usual, all because the thing I made is for my sisters birthday present. Her birthday is today, and although I know she doesn’t read this, I didn’t want to risk ruining the surprise. Now she’s received it, I can finally say what I made her; Harry Potter Monopoly. I didn’t trust my Photoshop skills or intelligence enough to make up my own board design or cards, so I did cheat and use a download I found online. Here’s is the link to that: http://www.mugglenet.com/2015/04/diy-feature-harry-potter-monopoly/   Also, I did make up my own playing counters of a wand, sorting hat, snitch and broom.  These aren't as good as the things I'm making know, but these were the first ever thing I had made of polymer clay, so I'm pretty proud.
