HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!
I hope everyone had a fantastic New Year’s Eve, and that your severity of alcohol poisoning isn’t too bad.
I just want to start the year off with a massive thank you to everyone who gave my blog a read, as I managed to reach 1,500 page views before midnight last night!
It’s safe to say that I’m very chuffed!

Linking onto that, I’m not 100% sure on how and when I’ll be uploading this month. I don’t have the time to upload daily again, so instead, I’m trying to work out a way to upload which I could also stick to.

It’s no secret that I’m a huge Meatloaf fan. 'The Band' Musical Review

Take That are probably the biggest boyband from the nineties, shooting to fame with their daring fashion, cheesy dance moves and timeless songs - so it’s no wonder that their new musical, The Band, is excelling in ticket sales, with many fans eager to see how their favourite teenage to modern day tunes are portrayed. In yet another scripting masterpiece from Tim Firth, The Band is not a tale of Take That, but instead, a highly intelligent and emotive story set between two concerts 25 years apart, and a group of five friends, who tragically become four, and the way in which music has shaped their lives. Tim Firth features all the hits of Take That, in ways I did not expect or imagine, and uses the songs as a way to enrich the storyline, as opposed to just cram them in for the sake of it. Hamlet at Almeida Theatre Review *Spoiler Free*

William Shakespeare is one whom I would commonly refer to as the literary equivalent to marmite: you either love his work with a passion or utterly despise it. I guess you could blame the fact that it is commonly force fed down your throat at school reading ‘thou’ after ‘thus’ until the English lesson finally ends – yet, I feel appreciation would grow more if everyone was taken to the theatre to see Shakespeare’s work where it is at its best, just as I was for Hamlet at the Almeida Theatre, London.
